Accrued Rent: Definition, Measurement, Classification and Journal Entries

Accrued rent is the amount of unpaid rent owed by a renter or not yet collected by the landlord. The accounting for accrued rent from the perspectives of the landlord and the renter are noted below. For example, on January 01, 2021, we rent a car to use in our business operation.
